REGIONAL CENTER SUPPORT
The Regional Center will pay the registration fee for one advocacy conference a year. This “Registration Fee,” includes meals. Some Regional Centers will pay for hotel cost and support staff, but most do not pay for hotel, or travel cost. You will need to pay that yourself.
To get your Registration Fee you will need to include “Self Advocacy” as a goal on your Regional Center IPP.
Call your Regional Center Service Coordinator and ask to add an addendumto your IPP that says you want to add an advocacy goal, to empower your self-advocacy skill.
